Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

A wooden mobile with a llama motif is a decorative choice for the baby’s room if you prefer natural materials and are looking for a calm eye-catcher above the changing table or crib. It’s suitable for parents who like simple shapes and a long-lasting look, and for anyone who consciously chooses wood. A wooden mobile is also a great gift idea for a birth or christening, as it does without complex functions and can be placed in many ways. Thanks to its low weight, it can usually be attached easily, for example to a hook on the room ceiling or to a sturdy wall arm, provided the installation is carried out safely. If you want to combine the mobile with existing nursery décor, pay attention to matching colors and materials so that a harmonious overall look is created. For on the go or for the stroller, separate products designed for that purpose make sense.

What to look for with wooden mobiles

  • Material choice: Wood provides a natural look; metal parts can add stability for hangers.
  • Weight and balance: A lightweight mobile is easier to mount securely and swings more gently.
  • Mounting point: Attach only to load-bearing hooks or brackets and regularly check fit and distance.
  • Cleaning: Smooth surfaces are an advantage if you clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Distance: Always place out of the direct reach of babies and toddlers.
  • Place of use: Hang above the changing table or in a quiet corner, away from drafts.

Ideas for use / play ideas

  • Hang as a calm eye-catcher above the changing table to make short routines more relaxed.
  • Place above the crib with sufficient distance so the motif can be viewed gently.
  • Decorate a small reading or cuddle corner to create a cozy atmosphere.
  • Present as a loving gift for a birth or baby shower in a neutral gift box.
  • Create a photo backdrop for the nursery and use the mobile as a recurring décor element.
  • Combine with other wooden décor objects to emphasize a cohesive nature theme in the room.
  • Hang near a quiet area to keep visual stimuli subtle.
  • Decorate seasonally by changing its location to add small accents to the room.
  • Place in a siblings’ corner so older children can also look at and name the motifs.
  • Use as gentle orientation in the room without using bright light or sounds.

Care & safety

Care: Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Then wipe dry and protect from moisture.

Safety: Attach only to suitable, load-bearing fastenings. Regularly check fit, knots, and distances. Keep out of reach of babies and toddlers.

Safety & compliance: Depending on the product, relevant safety tests and standards (e.g., EN 71 for toys) are used and documented. We can provide details on product-specific tests upon request.
