bieco GmbH strives to make its website accessible. The legal basis for this is the Disability Equality Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, BGG) in conjunction with the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BITV 2.0) and EU Directive 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Status of Compliance with the Requirements:

The website bieco.de is partially compliant with the requirements of BITV 2.0 in conjunction with EU Directive 2016/2102. We are continuously working to further improve the accessibility of our website.

This statement was prepared in June 2025 and is based on a self-assessment. Regular reviews will always take place.

Which areas are already accessible?

We have implemented numerous measures to make our website as barrier-free as possible to use, including:

• Responsive design: The site can be used equally well on mobile devices and desktop computers.
• Text alternatives (alt texts): Images and graphical content are provided with alternative texts.
• Keyboard operability: The navigation can be used largely without a mouse.
• Color contrasts: The colors have been chosen so that they are easy to distinguish for users with impaired vision or color vision deficiency.
• No flashing content: To protect users at risk of epilepsy.
• Language settings: The language used on the website is correctly specified in the HTML code.
• Accessible PDF documents (where provided): New documents are designed to be accessible.
• Integration of screen-reader-friendly code (e.g. via ARIA labels).

Remaining barriers:

Despite our efforts, the following barriers may currently still exist:

• Older PDF documents are in some cases not yet fully accessible.
• Individual form elements (e.g. input fields in contact forms) are in some cases not yet optimally usable with screen readers.
• Missing audio descriptions and subtitles for embedded videos.
• Navigation structure: Some dynamic elements (e.g. drop-down menus) are not fully accessible.

We are working to resolve these points step by step.
