Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Badger height chart is a charming choice for families who want to capture their children’s growth in a visible and decorative way. In the nursery, the badger motif adds a friendly accent and invites you to regularly mark measurement points and document small developmental steps. For parents who value a natural look, the wooden material blends harmoniously into a variety of interior styles—from playful to minimalist. It also makes a personal gift for a birth, christening, or birthday that will be enjoyed for a long time. If you’re looking for long-term wall décor that preserves memories while still looking light and airy, this product is a great choice. Tip: Think in advance about which wall has enough vertical space and how you want to record measurement data (e.g., date/name) so the result remains consistent over the years.

What to look for in height charts for the nursery

  • Material choice: Wooden surfaces feel warm and timeless; check whether the surface is suitable for adding markings.
  • Size and readability: A clear scale and sufficient height make accurate everyday measuring easier.
  • Mounting & space: Choose a clear wall with enough distance from the floor and consider future accessibility for measurements.
  • Care: Smooth surfaces that can be cleaned with a damp cloth are practical for everyday family life.
  • Design & motif: A friendly motif fits different nursery styles and stays attractive for years.
  • Documentation: Plan whether you want to note markings directly on the height chart, with stickers, or in a separate notebook.

Ideas for use

  • Introduce a measuring ritual: Mark height once a month and write down the date.
  • Create a photo series: Take photos in the same spot with the height chart and record progress.
  • Annual rings: Add a special mark on birthdays or when starting school.
  • Family comparison: Measure siblings one after another and use different colors to distinguish the order.
  • Add milestones: Note first steps, first tooth, or first day of daycare next to the height.
  • Use decorative clips or tags: Use removable markings for temporary entries.
  • Personalize as a gift idea: When giving it as a gift, add a first marking with name and date.
  • Create a growth chart: Also transfer measurements to a notebook to see trends.

  • Care: Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then wipe dry.
