Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Deer Ella storage basket is ideal for families who want to keep things tidy in the nursery or living area and value a textile look. Thanks to its size, it offers space for frequently used small items such as building blocks, cuddly toys, or books without taking up much room itself. If you prefer flexible solutions, you can use it as a single organizer or sort several baskets by theme. The basket fits open shelving and can be moved quickly when redecorating areas. Its textile feel makes it quiet when putting things in and taking them out, making it a good choice for calm evening routines. Practical for anyone who appreciates an easy-care, wipe-clean interior surface and wants to keep contents quickly visible or within easy reach. It also makes a sensible gift for a birth or birthday, as it grows with the child for a long time and remains usable in different rooms.

What to look for in storage baskets for the nursery

  • Material & feel: Textile canvas offers a soft look and fits well in cozy nursery settings.
  • Inner coating: A wipe-clean interior surface makes cleaning easier when there’s dust or crumbs.
  • Size & capacity: Check whether the dimensions and capacity fit your shelf or the intended corner.
  • Stability & carrying comfort: A sturdy body supports quick putting away and taking out.
  • Organization: Several baskets for different categories (e.g., books, building blocks, soft toys) make it easier to find things again.
  • Care: Products that can be wiped with a damp cloth save time in everyday life.

Ideas for use

  • Gather favorite cuddly toys and place them next to the bed to make the bedtime routine easier.
  • Sort building blocks or toy cars and collect them together after playing.
  • Stand children’s books upright to make covers visible and make choosing easier.
  • Keep spare clothes or a sleeping bag for daycare within reach in the hallway.
  • Collect diapers, wipes, and care items in the basket and place it next to the changing area.
  • Store seasonal decorations or dress-up clothes and take them out when needed.
  • Bundle art supplies in pouches and park them in the basket so the table is quickly cleared.
  • Store small sports or outdoor items such as skipping ropes together.
  • Use it in the living room as a toy station that’s easy to put away in the evening.
  • Fill it as a gift basket, e.g., with a small book and a cuddly toy.
