Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. More info about the Scandi ride-on vehicle

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Scandi ride-on vehicle is aimed at families looking for a push or ride-on vehicle for the early mobility phase. Thanks to the combination of wood, metal and rubber, it fits into households that value sturdy materials and a simple look. It is ideal for parents who want to use a ride-on toy indoors on level surfaces while always keeping supervision. If you are planning a gift for a first birthday or looking for an addition to walking and balance play, this ride-on vehicle is an obvious choice. Make sure there is enough space, non-slip surfaces, and that the child can already sit securely and push off with their feet. For households with multiple children, it is recommended to agree on fixed rules of use and clearly define riding areas.

What to look out for with ride-on vehicles

  • Material: Look for sturdy materials such as wood, metal and rubber, as well as careful finishing of the edges.
  • Size & ergonomics: Seat height and handle position should match the child’s current stage of development so they can push off well with their feet.
  • Surface: Level, dry areas with enough space are suitable for use to avoid collisions with furniture.
  • Cleaning: Products with smooth surfaces can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Supervision & rules: Define riding areas, remove obstacles, and only let children ride under supervision.
  • Assembly & accessories: Check whether assembly instructions are included and whether all parts are securely fastened before the child sets off.

Ideas for use / play ideas

  • Mark out an indoor circuit on a level surface and let them set off slowly to practise steering.
  • Mark small “parking spaces” with cushions or tape and practise parking in a playful way.
  • Set up a treasure hunt: Ride from station to station and stop to solve simple tasks.
  • Set colour or shape stops: Only continue riding when you see a certain colour; stop for another.
  • Speed-change game: On cue, switch between rolling slowly and stopping briefly.
  • Practise turning manoeuvres: Carefully turn around in a narrow hallway and roll back to the starting line.
  • Play “petrol station”: Stop at a designated spot, “refuel,” and continue riding.
  • A shared course with soft obstacles to carefully ride around.
  • Tidy-up game: At the end of the day, “drive” the vehicle to its designated parking spot.
  • Practise counting: Count rides or turns together and celebrate successes.
