Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Rabbit height chart is ideal for a nursery, hallway, or play corner if you want to record growth in a visible and decorative way. Families who like natural materials will appreciate the wooden design. Thanks to its slim format, it is suitable for narrow wall areas, for example next to the door or on the wardrobe. As a gift for a birth, christening, or birthday, it offers personal added value, as milestones can be documented over many years. The subtle look blends into many interior styles, from a simple Scandi look to a playful children’s room. If you want to collect memories over the long term, you can regularly add the date and height to the chart and keep a lovely overview of development. It’s important to choose a suitable spot at the children’s eye level before mounting it, so measuring is fun and easy.

What to look for in height charts

  • Material choice: Wood feels high-quality and fits well in a children’s room. Look for smooth surfaces and a pleasant feel.
  • Dimensions and placement: Check the size specifications (here 12 x 120 x 1 cm) so the height chart fits the desired wall area.
  • Scale and readability: An easy-to-read scale makes regular measuring and documenting easier.
  • Care: Wipe-clean surfaces are practical for easy cleaning. Mild cleaning is often sufficient.
  • Mounting: Choose a mounting height that suits current and future measurement points, and ensure it is securely fixed to the wall.

Ideas for use

  • Introduce a monthly measuring routine and note the date next to the mark.
  • Birthday tradition: Record the new height every year on the same day.
  • Document it with photos and create a small growth diary.
  • Family measuring: Mark siblings and parents once as well to compare heights.
  • Seasonal comparison: Measure in spring and autumn and note the differences.
  • Personalize the measurement points with colored stickers or washi tape.
  • Create a small wall gallery combining the height chart and favorite photos.
  • Add extra notes as a reminder of special events (first tooth, first day at daycare).

Care & safety

Care: Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Safety & compliance: Depending on the product, relevant safety tests and standards (e.g. EN 71 for toys) are used and documented. We can provide details on product-specific tests upon request.
