Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Bear wall coat rack is ideal for families looking for a space-saving, child-friendly hanging solution in the nursery or hallway. The friendly bear adds a decorative accent and helps keep light everyday items neatly stored. It’s especially useful in entryways at child height, so children can independently hang favorite items like a hat or little bag in their designated spot. In the play area or by the changing station, a small coat rack also helps keep frequently used items within easy reach. If you’re looking for a thoughtful gift for a birth, christening, or birthday, a beautiful, functional wall coat rack is a practical idea that can be used for a long time. When positioning it, make sure there is enough distance from doors and drawers so nothing gets pinched, and choose a spot that supports your daily routine.

What to look for in wall coat racks for the nursery

  • Material & finish: Smooth, well-finished wooden surfaces and water-based paints are popular for use in the nursery.
  • Size & placement: The dimensions should fit the intended space; mounted at child height, it encourages independent hanging.
  • Load & use: Plan to use it for light everyday items and avoid overloading.
  • Installation & stability: Ensure sufficient fastening on suitable walls; choose wall plugs and screws that match the surface.
  • Care: Easy-care surfaces save time; wipe-clean is practical for everyday use.
  • Safety: Mount out of walkways and consider corners/edges to reduce the risk of bumps.

  • Install in the hallway at child height so hats and scarves have their designated spot.
