Moin from Hamburg!

Do you know that feeling when your home is suddenly taken over by a colourful chaos of children's toys? That's exactly what we experienced when we became parents. Bright, garish colours everywhere, and us in the middle of it all, looking for beautiful toys and practical accessories that we parents like too and that still fit our budget. Not that easy, is it?

That's when we thought: Why don't we make them ourselves? High-quality, stylish and still affordable. Toys and accessories that not only encourage play, but also look good in any home. Modern design and muted colours.

It was a small challenge to get our (in-law) parents excited about this vision for bieco, but together we made it! 66 years of tradition, and with the change of generations we reinvented ourselves and created a range that is not only educationally valuable, but also a real eye-catcher.

We have been on this new path since 2020 and are super proud of it. And you know what? It looks like we're not the only ones who love our new direction. See for yourself!

For a beautiful home

Forget the garish, brightly coloured jumble! Inspired by the cool Scandi style, our toys not only provide plenty of fun for little ones, but also score points with their decorative value. In short, they are exactly what we would want in our own four walls too. The understated design blends harmoniously into your modern interior. So you can safely put off tidying up a little longer. Our motto: Less chaos, more fun and learning!

Buying guide: Who is it suitable for?

The Badger wall coat rack is a practical solution when small favorite items in the children's room, hallway, or on the door should have a fixed place. Thanks to its compact size, it can also be used in narrow areas, for example next to the children's room door or above a toy box. The mix of MDF wood and metal feels robust for everyday use and can be combined with many children's room styles. If you like to keep routines structured, you can mount the coat rack at a child-friendly height so children can hang up their jackets, bags, or scarves independently. Thanks to the water-based colors, the coat rack blends subtly and child-friendly into the room. Before buying, make sure you have suitable space on the wall, the desired height, and which items are to be hung up. This way you get clear, easy-to-reach storage for everyday life.

What to look for in wall coat racks

  • Material & workmanship: MDF wood and metal are suitable for everyday use; smooth edges and securely attached hooks are important.
  • Dimensions & placement: Choose height and position so that children can easily reach the hooks and doors or drawers remain unobstructed.
  • Wall condition: Check the surface and use suitable mounting material according to the type of wall.
  • Cleaning: Surfaces should be easy to care for with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Use: Think in advance about which items will be hung up (e.g. light jackets, accessories) to plan the coat rack sensibly.

Ideas for use

  • Set it up as a children's room coat rack for jackets, hats, and backpacks.
  • Mount it in the hallway at child height to make getting dressed and undressed easier.
  • Create a seasonal spot: Keep seasonal accessories like a sun hat or scarf within easy reach.
  • Outfit planning: Use hooks for “tomorrow,” “sports,” and “daycare” to support routines.
  • Tidy corner: Hang up bags for slippers or gym bags.
  • Add to a reading nook: Hang fabric bags with favorite books on the hooks.
  • Creative station: Hang up a painting or craft apron so it’s quickly at hand.
  • Guest corner: Reserve a hook for guests’ bags.

Care & safety

Care instructions: Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Safety & conformity: Depending on the product, relevant safety tests and standards (e.g. EN 71 for toys) are used and documented. We can provide details on product-specific tests if needed.
