Play and Learn at Every Age
Learning through play is the best thing that can happen to a child. Instinctively, our little ones play at every opportunity, building new skills along the way. And as parents, you can support them in exploring and understanding the world with all kinds of play ideas. For example, together you can match shapes and name colors with an age-appropriate wooden puzzle, or build lovely little towers out of building blocks. This not only creates moments of success, but also trains early math skills and logical thinking.
Pretend play is an absolute highlight for all children. Your little rascals can spend hours playing pirates with small boats in the bathtub or simply bringing their favorite cuddly toy to life. Imagination and creativity are essential skills for the adults of tomorrow.
At bieco, we therefore deliberately focus on encouraging your little ones' urge to explore with high-quality, age-appropriate toys. Our focus is on developing the senses with gentle, unobtrusive stimulation. Our toys in a timeless Scandi style with muted, beautiful colors not only make children's hearts beat faster, they are also a real eye-catcher for us parents.
We love high-quality, long-lasting toys as well as practical everyday helpers. Muted colors and natural materials make for timeless pieces that siblings can enjoy too. This is how real favorites are created for babies, children and parents alike, for a beautiful home and timeless play fun.
Age-Appropriate Toys from Birth
As a toy maker, it matters to us to offer children age-appropriate toys that are fun and support their development without overwhelming them. We want to meet children at every stage of development and add real value with our toys.
Today, we'd like to show you a few examples of which toys suit which age:
Babies are endlessly curious about everything around them. Looking, marveling and grasping are their favorite activities in the first months of life. Your little bundles of joy will gurgle with delight when you lay them under a play gym with plenty of things to explore.
Preschoolers from two years old love to do puzzles, stack and build. With each passing day they become more eager to learn and make their first friendships. Age-appropriate games for several players, such as a fishing game (who didn't love it?), promote not only social skills but also thinking ahead.
Pre-K children sometimes seem like little grown-ups already. Why, how, what for? They ask questions all the time and want to understand their world. Games that foster an understanding of sizes and quantities, as well as first ABC and number games, will bring your big kid lots of joy.
Every child develops in their own way, and every child has their own learning rhythm. If you notice that your child feels overwhelmed or frustrated while playing with a toy, simply put it away for a while and bring it out again after a few weeks. Children learn above all through positive encouragement and small successes.
The age recommendations on our packaging and in our online shop are a great guide. This way you can buy toys that match your child's abilities and, at the same time, protect them from potential hazards posed by small parts.
Production & Safety
When buying toys, we always recommend checking for high-quality workmanship and materials. A CE marking shows you that the toy may be sold in the EU. Sharp corners and edges, whether plastic or wood, are a no-go for toddlers. Loose parts should not be too small. In principle, there is nothing wrong with individual detachable parts, as long as they cannot be swallowed. Of course, this also depends on your child's age. The age information and warnings on the packaging give you guidance on whether a toy is already suitable for your child and what else to watch out for when using it.
bieco takes its responsibility very seriously, from design development all the way to production monitoring. Long-standing, trusting partnerships with our suppliers are just as important as the high-quality workmanship of carefully selected materials. In addition, all of our toys and accessories are subject to European product and safety standards and have been tested for safety in recognized, independent procedures.
For us, product quality also means durability. We want siblings to still be able to play with a toy, or for it to be passed on to friends or resold. Carefully chosen, high-quality materials and clean workmanship ensure our products last.
Product Care
Our little rascals love taking their toys and cuddly animals everywhere with them. Puddles, sandpits and the kitchen floor are very popular resting places for their favorite things. We suspect it's no different with your little ones.
To make sure your kids enjoy their toys for a long time, we recommend cleaning them regularly. For baby toys that are shared now and then at playgroup, we even recommend daily cleaning.
Visible dirt can simply be tackled with dry cloths or brushes. For wet cleaning, we recommend wiping the toys down with a mixture of lukewarm water and a little mild soap. Please don't just toss cuddly toys in the washing machine, as some of them don't tolerate it well. You will always find precise washing instructions with our cuddly animals.
For long-lasting enjoyment and safe play, you will always find care instructions in the product description of our toys.
But enough reading, mom and dad. Now it's time to play!
